Hi, I am Melissa from Northline Express and I am here with our A12 Model Black Blade EcoFan. This is a great accessory for anyone out there who uses their woodstove on a regular basis to heat your home. An EcoFan is going to make your wood stove not only more efficient but it is also going to help circulate the heat off your wood stove and push it through out your home without using any additional electricity.

EcoFans circulate warm air throughout the room to increase the comfort in your home. These fans are designed to sit directly on the top of a freestanding wood stove and they create their own electricity without any household energy or batteries.

A nice trait of the EcoFan is that it is going to be completely a “set it and forget it” type of product. The EcoFan is going to start automatically when you place it on the top of a wood stove and the stove reaches the appropriate temperature. The speed of the fan blade is also automatic, adjusting as the temperature changes. So as your stove heats up, the EcoFan is going to move the blades faster and as your stove cools down the blade speed will then begin slowing down eventually shutting itself off.

With the EcoFan it has been proven that you can have up to an 18% fuel savings. Now only the genuine EcoFan has been tested by representatives from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo, which is the leading technological university in Canada. These tests have proven that using an EcoFan can reduce fuel usage up to 18% so this savings is also going to translate into a reduction of particulates as well as carbon emissions. The use of EcoFans not only saves you money but it is also going to help the environment as well.

So how does the EcoFan work are you wondering? Even though it may be easy to say it is magic, it turns itself on and off! EcoFans actually use Thermoelectric generation to transform heat into electricity using the Seebeck effect. The patented EcoFan design creates a hot and cool side of the module. When this occurs the electrons flow with in the module and the electricity is generated to then operate the fan. The EcoFan is quite a simple product but it is also a very important product.

Another great aspect of the EcoFans is that they can still be used during a power outage. While your wood stove may already have a blower, that blower requires electricity to function. So if your power goes out you will still be able to use your wood stove but you will not be able to effectively circulate the heat by use of the blower. The EcoFan solves this issue; you can still get the heat from your wood stove and also circulate that warm air around your home.

We have the A12 Model of the EcoFan today. It is a 175 CFM rated fan which means it is going to be able to move 175 cubic feet per minute. It is a substantial amount of air for such a little fan and again it is doing it all without any electricity.

The EcoFan also has its own range of operating temperatures. It will start to kick on at approximately 165 degrees Fahrenheit and will reach top blade speed at about 600 degrees Fahrenheit. Once you stove cools down to below 165 degrees the EcoFan is going to start to shut itself off.

This wood stove fan is so simple to use. When you receive your EcoFan it will be completely assembled ready to use. There are just a few things that you will want to keep in mind when you are using it. To protect the integrity of the EcoFan and not cause any damage to the technical components of the fan itself you will need to make sure you are using it in the proper location on your wood stove. The optimal placement for this fan would be on the back of your wood stove next to the pipe so that it has a cooler area behind the fan and a warm area in front to ensure the functionality of the fan. You do not want to set it on the front of the stove surrounding the fan by warm air on all side this will cause to fan to not work properly and never place it directly in front of your stove pipe.

This is another great product from Northline Express, home of the “Buy and Try” satisfaction guarantee and remember we are your one stop shop for all of your wood stove accessories.
