Log Splitters - Demonstrating the 4-ton and 7-ton WoodEze Electric Log Splitters
Hi, I am Rob Cochran, owner of NorthlineExpress.com. If you are like me, you get your firewood cut, you bring it back to the house, you stack it up, and then you realize that some of these pieces are too big to use or fit into your wood stove. So you end up using the smaller pieces and the large pieces end up sitting there. Another thing that typically happens is that when you are out cutting firewood, the top part of the tree gets cut off and leave the real meat of the tree because it is just too large. This wood pile has been sitting here for quite some time because it is just too large really to use and is very heavy to carry into the home. This is where our WoodEze Electric Log Splitters will come in handy. They will allow you to utilize those extremely large logs that normally would be put aside. If you have ever used a hand held splitting ax, a splitting maul, or a wedge you know that that is a lot of work. It takes a lot of energy in getting a large piece of wood split down to size but there is a lot of wood that could be used and not left behind.
So I going to demonstrate the WoodEze Electric Log Splitters. Northline Express offers two versions of the Electric Log Splitters, a 4 ton and a 7 ton. I am going to show you how well these split wood, how quickly it is, and how safe it is.
First is the 4-ton electric log splitter by WoodEze. The hydraulic boom has four tons of thrusting power. It runs on a regular household 110 amp current. So you just plug it into an extension cord and you’re good to go. The great thing about the electric log splitter is that they can be used indoors and outdoors. There is virtually no maintenance required on these unlike a gas-powered log splitter that requires you to winterize it, change the oil, and keep putting gas in it. With the WoodEze Electric Log Splitter you just basically plug it in and you are ready to go.
Operating this log splitter is very simple. It is a two handed operation, One to push the button that engages the motor and the second to push the lever that engages the ram to move it forward. You will always have your hands out of the way. When you release the button, the ram goes back and the motor shuts off. You are only using electricity while you are splitting. It doesn’t get much simpler than that. The 4 ton will split most types of wood, even wood that has knots. Logs that have knots are very difficult to split with an ax or maul, but the 4 ton log splitter is a great help with these logs.
Next is the 7-ton WoodEze electric log splitter and it comes fully assembled. The only thing you need to do is plug it into a regular 110 amp household plug and you are ready to go. Unlike a gas log splitter that requires a lot of maintenance, these are virtually maintenance free by comparison. The gas log splitters require weatherization, the oil to be changed, and they run continuously wasting gas. The electric log splitter only uses electricity when it is actually splitting. Once you are done splitting the log, you let go of the button, and the electric log splitter turns off. Making them very economical to operate.
The 7-ton WoodEze log splitter has two speeds. It has a 4-ton ram speed which moves faster and a 7-ton ram speed which moves a little slower but has a lot more force. The 7-ton will split logs that are really gnarly and nasty with a lot of knots in them. You would have a really tough time getting logs like that to split with a splitting ax or a maul but the 7-ton log splitter makes splitting your firewood a breeze. Just like the 4-ton Electric Log Splitter, once you release the button the hydraulic ram retracts automatically, and you are ready to split another log. Depending on how far you push the lever forward will determine the speed.
You get a lot of value in these electric log splitters. They are easy to operate, safe, and they always start up and are ready to go in just seconds. We highly recommend them at Northline Express.
