The company was established in 1975 by Johnny and Rosemary Beard. The company originally started in a historic bank in Oolagah, Oklahoma. Each bellow includes a tag with an ink drawing depicting the company’s very first workshop on it.
They later relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma after several expansions and many years of steady business to open their bellows factory. The Johnny Beard Company still operates out of this same workshop in Tulsa today.
Johnny Beard has been creating beautifully designed bellows for more than 35 years. He is a skilled woodworker and metallic designer. Johnny Beard has been regarded as one of the “most creative men in the fireplace industry”.
Johnny’s expertise in woodworking, leatherworking, and metalworking were all utilized to create bellows that are as beautiful as they are functional. Each of the bellows produced is painstakingly carved with his own hands, making every bellow a one of a kind item!
