I’m Melissa from NorthlineExpress and a common complaint we receive from people who buy a mosquito trap is that when changing the propane or bait they get eaten alive. Clearly the machines are working but they get swarmed by mosquitoes when tending to their machines. Well, we have a solution for that, a hand held insect zapper.

Several of the staff here at NorthlineExpress has mosquito traps and they agreed with the customers that maintaining your trap was awful because of the swarming mosquitoes. So we tried to come up with ways to eliminate this issue.

Several ideas were thrown around until we found one worth sharing. Using a simple handheld insect zapper when changing the propane or bait on your trap is simple and effective. It’s also a cheap solution because even if you get the fanciest hand held insect zapper you are spending less than $15.

All you have to do is turn the insect zapper on and wave it around your trap a couple times to notice the difference, and oh what a difference it makes. This little device allows you to tend to your mosquito trap without being swarmed or eaten alive by mosquitoes.

There are two different insect zappers that you can choose from the basic racket style zapper or the extendable DynaZap. The basic racket style insect zapper is going to cost you about $10 while the DynaZap is about $15. Both zappers have the same functionality, including a safety switch to prevent unintended zapping.

My choice was the DynaZap insect zapper because is fully extendable to over 3 feet in length and the head bends in multiple directions to make killing flies, bees, or mosquitoes that get into those hard to reach places inside as well. I love that you can use it both outside to maintain my trap as well as inside to keep those pesky bugs at bay.

I hope you found this information helpful. Here at NorthlineExpress, we love to share ways that help make your outdoor living experience that much more enjoyable.
