Hi, I’m Melissa from NorthlineExpress, here to talk to you about Step 2 in our four step process to ultimate mosquito control. Step 2 is to draw mosquitoes away from your outdoor living space with the use of a mosquito trap. We offer a variety of different mosquito traps, so you are sure to find the one that’s right for you and your outdoor living space.

We offer models like the DynaTraps that are corded. They don’t run off propane and they can vary in the size of the area that they cover, all the way up to an acre and a half.

We also offer models that are powered off propane. That’s going to be our Mosquito Magnet models, as well as our Skeeter Vacs. And just like the DynaTraps, there are varying areas of coverage that they provide. Make sure you take that time, do a little research, and get the mosquito trap that is going to be perfect for you and your outdoor living space.

Mosquito traps are an important step in mosquito control because they’re going to interrupt the breeding cycle of the mosquitoes. The way they are designed to work is they mimic the CO2 output of a human or animal and that draws the mosquitoes in. They are naturally wired to detect the CO2 and find a feast.

What you are going to want to do with the mosquito trap, once you’ve selected the trap that’s right for you, is make sure that you’re placing it on the perimeter of your property and not on top of the space that is going to be occupied. It is going to draw the mosquitoes to it. So it would be an unpleasant place to sit if they’re all being drawn to where you’re using it.

Do a little research. Find the right mosquito trap for you. Take control with Step 2: using a mosquito trap to control the mosquito population. And make sure you check out Step 3 in our four step process to ultimate mosquito control in our next video.
